After this building was struck by a tornado spawned by Hurricane Andrew, Ehlinger & Associates was hired by the State of Louisiana to assess damages and estimate the cost of repairs.

Efflorescence, humidity and moisture problems created a suspicion that the cavities of the masonry veneer walls of this school building were impacted with mortar and blocking what few weep holes existed. A very graphic illustration of how much water can be trapped and stored within a wall.
